How long will my Solar Panels last?
Suntricity only uses high-quality panels and expert installers for each power station. We guarantee our workmanship for 10 years, so if there is a problem, we will fix it. Each micro-inverter is guaranteed to continue working for 15 years. The solar panels themselves have a 25-year warranty. The bottom line is, your Suntricity Power Station will be producing renewable energy into the next generation.
Can I go “off the grid” with solar energy?
Most Suntricity Solar Power Stations are designed to work with your current energy company to offset 60-80% of your utility bill. You produce energy during the sunny day and you go back to the grid at night. We can make a custom system for off the grid solar production by including a battery system that charges during the day. Off the grid systems also require many more panels than a typical system. These additional panels and battery require a larger solar investment, and are traditionally only used on homes where electricity is scarce (rural areas, mountain homes). What happens when I sign up? How long does it take to go solar?
When you sign up for a Free Site Study, you meet with a personal project coordinator who will explain how solar can work for you. From there, our engineers will design a system with your electricity needs and budget in mind. After you sign your first contract, we submit your paperwork for permits and government rebates. Grant approval can take 2-4 months, depending on your municipality. The panels are then installed on your house by our certified install team and we establish internet monitoring for your system. Finally, your utility company installs a new backwards counting meter to register your power production. You are creating your own energy in about just a few short months!
